Welcome to our Royal Palm Dance Chapter home page!

We hope that our website will help you familiarize with our dance chapter, entice you to join our monthly dances and meet our chapter members. We also hope that the information sharing of all our social events and amateur dance competitions will motivate our visitors to join this or any other dance venues and get them to share the pleasure of dancing.

The Royal Palm Chapter of USA Dance encompasses the Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach and the surrounding areas. We have approximately 120 members who enjoy social dancing. We also are proud of our talented competitive couples who strive for perfection and are dedicated, serious dancers.

Our dances are held at the magnificent Goldcoast Ballroom in Coconut Creek, on the second Tuesday of the month.
We proudly sponsor Florida Atlantic University Dance Club.

USA Dance Royal Palm Chapter monthly dances are held the third Saturday of every month (this change takes place starting November 2015) and they are hosted by the Goldcoast Ballroom. USA Dance members are offered discounted admission.

  • The dancing event starts at 7:30PM and lasts until 11:00 PM. Some dancing nights may feature special showcases when our memebers - or other dancing guests - perform for the audience. Desserts and coffee may be served.
  • The special admission price for USA Dance Royal Palm Chapter Members is $13.00.
  • The address for GoldCoast Ballroom is: 1415 Lyons Rd. Coconut Creek, FL. 33063
    Phone (954) 979-0770.

Every year, on the last Saturday of January, our chapter holds a dance competition ("Winter Frolic Dancesport Extravaganza" :) ).
The competition organizer has been, for many years, our chapter president, Patti McDonalds. In the "Gallery" section of this web site, you can see pictures taken from competitions between 2010 to 2015. The competition info can be found on the competition's website.

2015 Competition was a great success, thanks to the hard work of the organizor and volunteers. The pictures that you can see in the gallery were taken by Geri Easter. If you were a competitor, you can see the results on the 2015 results section of the website.

We publish a monthly newsletter, put together by our talented newsletter editor, Terry O'Donnell. Please check out, in the "Newsletters" section of this web site, an archive of publications dating back to 2010.
